Service: - Marriage License Only change

You must have a marriage ceremony within 90 days of license issuance.

Requirements:

Customers that are late may be asked to reschedule. Both parties must: 

 

1. Complete the online portion of your application before your appointment. The link will be in your confirmation email. You must click SUBMIT when you are done with the application. If you are unable to complete the application online please arrive 15 minutes early to complete your application on our kiosks(unless you have an 8:30 AM appointment).

2. Appear together and present valid and authentic government-issued photo identification with proof of age. (Driver’s License, State Identification Cards, Military Service or Military Dependent ID Card, Passport, Alien Registration Card, ID Card issued by the U.S. Government or another country). A physical ID is required. Cell phone photos or photocopies of ID documents are NOT acceptable. You must attend your appointment to receive a marriage license.

3. Be at least 18 years of age. 

4. Provide full names of your parents and your state/county of birth. Your birth certificate is not required.

5. Provide dissolution status of previous marriages, complete with dates, if applicable. Documentation is required if divorce was finalized within last 90 days.

6. Appropriate fees, paid by cash or credit/debit card. No checks, mobile payments, or $100 currency will be accepted. Public Marriage License Fee $58 Confidential Marriage License Fee $69 Civil Ceremony Fee $21.

7. Please decide on name changes prior to your appointment. The rules for name changes are available in the online application and here.


8. Both individuals must be able to read, speak and understand English or Spanish. If not, the couples must bring an independent witness who is able to translate to obtain a license and/or have a ceremony performed. To receive assistance in Spanish you must book a Spanish appointment type.
