A Notary Public must file an Oath of Office and Bond with our office when their principal place of business is located within Fresno County. This must be done within 30 calendar days from the commencement date of the commission. This 30 day period cannot be extended.

You are required to submit the following documentation during the appointment:

1. Valid Identification

2. (2) Oath Forms issued by the Secretary of State

3. Surety Bond of $15,000(with original signature)

4. Notary Commission Certificate

5. Filing Fee of  $43.00 payable to the Fresno County Clerk  ( $100 currency and mobile payments will not be accepted)

Names and effective dates must match on documents.

Please note that our clerks complete data entry for your appointment prior to calling you to a desk. For this reason customers should expect to be called back 5-10 min after their appointment time.
